Fax
Faxes received for your existing fax number (217) 786-#### will appear in the inbox for your department mailbox. E.g. Financial Aid mailbox at fax number 217.786.2229. To send a fax: .•Open Outlook or Outlook Web Access and compose a new email. •Type in the faxnumber@fax.llcc.edu - E.g. 18884732963@fax.llcc.edu or 7862076@fax.llcc.edu (i.e. local numbers do not require “1217” in front of the number). •The contents of the email message will appear as a cover page and the attached documents will appear as the rest of the fax message. - TXT, Word, Excel, and PDF attachments are supported. •You will receive an email confirmation in your email Inbox once the message has been sent. To view a fax: •Open Outlook and click on the Inbox for your department mailbox. - E.g. Financial Aid •If this does not show, you can open this in Outlook by clicking on File, Open & Export, Other User’s Folder and type in the name of the mail box to view. •In Outlook Web Access •Click on the Chevron next to your name in the upper right corner and click on Open another mailbox. •Type in the mailbox name and click on Open If your fax is rejected: Try without an email signature. If the contents of the fax is just text copy/paste the text to your email, instead of attaching a docx file or PDF. If you find that some characters are oddly formatted after copy/pasting or characters have been replaced with '?', then correct those oddities before sending. Sometimes letter combinations like "ti" are replaced with a special character that handles the kerning for those letters. This special character the fax system does not expect and often results in a failed send or a send with garbled letters.

Yealink video tutorials
UP TO DATE INFORMATION ON THE YEALINK PHONES CAN BE FOUND HERE: https://forms.llcc.edu/IT/Yealink/ Rev: May 2, 2023 Three Yealink models are being deployed at Lincoln Land Community College. The smaller M50 and M54 models have similar form factors and can easily be confused on first sight. The M50 connects to your computer via a USB port and must be supplied power through an adapter connected to a plug in the wall. It will not function properly without Skype for Business running in the background on your computer. The M54 is connected to the network via an ethernet cable. Typically, the network cable continues from your M54 to your computer. The M54 draws its power from the network cable and does not need a separate power cord. The large screen M56 supports the most features. Like the smaller M54 it is connected to the network via an ethernet cable. Your computer’s network cable and typically connects to your Yealink M56 phone. Similar to the smaller m54 the large screen m56 phone draws its power from the network cable and does not need a separate power cord. How to set up an out of office greeting for your voicemail
How to set up an out of office greeting for your voice mail Your phone’s voicemail is configured from Teams. Choose the ellipses in the upper right corner of Teams and then choose settings. Choose the Calls option in the left panel of the settings. Two voicemail messages should be set. Under Manage voicemail you set the message called a “Personal Greeting”. That message is heard when you are unable to pick up the phone, but otherwise “in-office”. Under Manage out-of-office voicemail you set the message for when you are out-of-office. By default only the out-of-office message will be heard. You need to uncheck the “All the time” checkbox for the personal greeting to also be available. See the below picture. If you want the personal greeting to play when you are “in-office” and unable to answer, then uncheck the “All the time” checkbox, and then select “When Outlook automatic replies are on.” With the above setting chosen, then your out-of-office voicemail message will play when the following Outlook settings are in use: A text to speech option is available for your voicemail greetings. The text will be converted to reasonable sounding human voice. The human voice accent is affected by the choice you make for the default language of your greeting. If you desire a British, Australian, Indian accent choose that default language. On the other hand, if you want to use your own voice then choose [Record a greeting]. If, after you record your own voice with [Record a greeting], you wish to return to using the text to speech method, you will have to delete the recorded message. To delete the message you must choose the [Record a greeting] button and follow the instruction to delete the message. Also check out: Yealink Phones
