Start Presenting Power On Television with TCL – Roku TV remote control. You may need to select OK for computer input. Power on wireless keyboard and mouse. Sign into computer with your Username and Password. Open any apps to view on all displays. Open the Camera app for live video or to join a Team meeting. Power on Lavalier Microphone if needed for recording or Teams meeting. Open Teams and Join meeting. AirTame Switch Input to AirTame Using the HDMI SWITCH, select 2 to change Television Input. Connect to Wifi Open your Wifi connectivity in your device settings. This example is using an iPhone. Select the DIRECT-j6-WC1107-AirTame-01-52 network. There are two AirTame devices, so be sure to connect to the appropriate lab. Enter the password of: wc1107-airtame or wc1121-airtame, depending upon the room. Join Screen Mirroring Open the Control Center in the iPhone or the Screen Mirroring software on your smart device. Select Screen Mirroring Enter code that is showing on Television, click on OK to connect. Return to Home on device and begin presenting from the device. Stop Screen Mirroring Access the Control Panel or screen mirroring software and Stop Mirroring. Disconnect from the AirTame Wifi and connect to the appropriate LLCC Wireless Network. Switch Input to PC Return the display back to the PC view by selecting 1 on the HDMI SWITCH remote control. Finished Presenting Close all open apps. If using AirTame, use HDMI SWITCH to return display to 1 – Computer. Sign out of computer. Right click on the Windows icon to see detailed shut down or sign out options. Power off Television, wireless keyboard and mouse. Return all remote controls, keyboard and mouse to the storage area at the Instructor per area. Meeting via Microsoft Tea,s Join the Meeting Power on Lavalier Microphone. Open the Camera app on the computer, then open Teams. Select the Calendar icon on the left. Select the meeting and Join. Follow the prompts within the meeting to join with Audio and Video. Admit Participants Non staff participants need to be admitted. Click on the icon and select the check mark to allow others into the meeting. Teams Screen Sharing Open any documents or windows to share before joining meeting. Select the Share icon to the right of the Microphone. Select from Desktop, Window, PowerPoint and other documents, or Browse. When choosing Browse, you will have the ability to search additional options for sharing. To stop sharing, select the Screen Sharing icon in the toolbar that now has an X to stop sharing. Leave the Meeting Select the red circle with the phone handle to end the call or Leave Meeting in the upper right corner of the window. The meeting participants will remain in the meeting until they do the same. Tips If the wireless keyboard and mouse are not working, check to see that the power is turned on for both devices. O = Off. Camara app must be open prior to joining any Teams meetings. If not, leave the meeting, open the Camera app and Join the meeting again. If the PC is not responsive, verify that this has not been powered off or stuck in sleep mode. The PC is located on the rear the of Instructor Station Television. Power on or hold the power button in for 10 – 15 seconds to power off the PC, then power back on. The device is in AirTame mode and not PC mode – use the HDMI SWITCH remote and press 1 to change the display to the PC. When using a mobile device, such as a smart phone or tablet, it is highly recommended that you place the device into a stationary stand. This will allow optimum angle for video capture and prevent unintentional movements. Eliminate additional noise distractions. If you are a participant and not the host, or not speaking, mute your microphone while on the Teams meeting. The microphone will be on speaker mode and potentially broadcast others not participating.

Using Airtames to Share/Project Your Screen   Step 1: Ensure that the TVs (or projectors) that you are sharing to are on and on the proper source/input to see the Airtame home screen (if should look like what is shown below) Step 2: Open the Airtame app on your instructor PC or Laptop  (if this icon isn’t on your desktop, please contact the helpdesk for assistance installing) Step 3: Share to the Airtame(s)  In the Airtame app, Type the name of the Airtame you’d like to share your screen to (i.e. SA1103-TV-2).   If typed correctly, the device will show up in a list below Choose to either share your entire screen or application/window  NOTE – if you have already connected to another screen, this button will say “add screen” you can share your content with up to 15 screens at once Step 4: In the Airtame App, enter the pairing code shown on the TV/Projector  To Stop Sharing your screen To stop sharing your screen, click to red “stop icon” in the Airtame app that’s to the right of the screen(s) you are casting to   To share your audio with the TVs you are casting to The audio from your laptop/instructor station is muted by default. To share this audio, click the mute button in the Airtame app (to the right of the screen(s) you are casting to)

In the classroom, you may experience services like Kanopy showing only a black screen when casting to an Airtame.  This is due to encoding on the video.   The solution:  Presently, the solution to this issue is to use the Mozilla Firefox browser to play these videos, when available.  Firefox handles video encoding differently than Chrome and Edge and has been tested to work.
