Projector/Monitor switch box for classrooms
The switch box controls which source will be used for the projector and the monitor. If you use the local PC both lights should be green. If you bring a laptop, you can connect the laptop to the VGA cable in the back of the switch. Warning: Most laptops no longer have a VGA connection, so you will need an adapter that converts from VGA to what your laptop uses. Some switches allow a sound connection too. If you connect a laptop to the switch, then both lights should be red. The lights cycle from green to red to off! Make sure to change BOTH lights. There are two select buttons. The below setting makes NO SENSE. It means the monitor will get the signal from the laptop while the projector will get the signal from the PC. It also doesn’t make any sense to turn off the signal. Here no light is on, which means no source is chosen. If your projector shows no signal then, select both green for the local PC, or both red for laptop connected to the VGA cable.
